The project embodies the brief of being contemporary and minimalistic. The property is located in a residential neighbor-hood on a corner plot with the area of 1540 sq.ft. in trapezoidal shape. The house is a South – West facing structure with a building on the North on the neighboring property and one on the East.

The design goal of our architectural firm in Bhopal was to give this home modern air while still keeping it warm.. The client has asked for a house that was both simple & bold in design. This was chance to try out a design style that blends elegant material while still providing the home with the luxury it deserves. The external façade constructed using wooden planks, concrete & glass with the hint of white paint. The aim was to bring in plenty of sunlight & proper ventilation. The concept of the layout was to give barrier-free circulation whereas the elevation design was targeted to give maximum openings to have connections with outside.

Through Main Gate, there’s a wide parking space. Ground floor is comprised of a living with dining with a beautiful lawn, a bedroom & common toilet, puja room nearby the dining, kitchen with wash area. First floor opens up on a family lounge guided to master bedroom with attached balcony and dress – toilet & son’s room with attached toilet with a corner facing terrace covered by pergolas. This terrace can be accessed by the family lounge.

Straight lines and interesting masses from the fundamentals for the architectural design through a modernist design approach. Through the orientation of the house, we made sure of utilizing natural light and cross ventilation.
